The Culture Palace

These are pictures of the most spectacular building in the city, which is now called the Culture Palace.
It was built in neo-Gothic style, on the foundations of the medieval royal court of Moldavia (one of the traditional provinces that make up Romania) and was completed in 1925.
The Palace is now host to several museums. The most important ones are the History Museum and the Arts Museum, which comprises a large collection of paintings by Romanian and foreign artists.
