Hidden amid tall trees, there is this 17th century church. It is an interesting piece of architecture, combining byzantine, oriental and gothic elements.

Skywatch Friday
This is a picture of the sky I took yesterday evening.
This afternoon, it started to rain, so the sky was all gray. As in this second picture, where you can also see the gate to the Copou Park.
See more skies at the Skywatch Friday site.

Quiet Afternoon at the Mall

This is the smoking area in the foodcourt. It is right in the middle and is all surrounded by glass, to help protect the non-smokers. Light penetrates from above, through the glass rooftop, and creates an interesting environment.

The Culture Palace

It was built in neo-Gothic style, on the foundations of the medieval royal court of Moldavia (one of the traditional provinces that make up Romania) and was completed in 1925.

The Palace is now host to several museums. The most important ones are the History Museum and the Arts Museum, which comprises a large collection of paintings by Romanian and foreign artists.
